Well, I’ve got a ton of work related stress piled on top of personal related stress, so don’t be expecting me to get caught up on the updates anytime soon. About the only relaxation I’ve had recently is playing Neverwinter Nights. Which is quite addicting.
So, anyway, I’m either working, stressing, or playing NWN. Leave me alone. 😉
HokiePundit’s getting all shitty with me over my lack of posts. But he doesn’t understand, it’s quality, not quantity!
Of course, he’d still beat me. But it’s the principle that matters!
So, I spent way too much time last night setting up Dynamic DNS and DHCP on my FreeBSD box. The good news was, it was relatively straightforward to do, after I got into the documentation. The bad news is, our WAP and/or cable modem is flaking out so bad I can’t login to my box from the Internet. So I stayed up late last night expecting to do some work on it remotely today, and I can’t. Which is pissing me off.
So, I’m gonna play a game or two of Yahoo! Pool to calm down, then try to get some real work done before lunch. For a change.
Well, I’ve ended up doing a lot of thinking recently. I think I may be headed in the wrong direction with some of my relationships, and I’m going to make a real effort to get that straightened out in the near future. Yesterday I had two great talks – one with HokiePundit and the other with my friend Jessi. They shook the cobwebs out of my head a little bit and made me start dealing with some big issues that I’ve been ignoring. I’ll probably post at least extracts of my conversation with HokiePundit a little later today.
Even though I’m severely worn out (and have been for the last week or so), I think I’m in the best place, emotionally speaking, that I’ve been in a year or so. More updates later, I promise.
Yesterday, a girl I’ve been talking to on Yahoo! Instant Messanger pointed out that I haven’t updated my page in a while. I guess that’s a sign that I should actually write something on here. 😉
Let’s see, random news updates…
I have a cable modem now at the place in West Virginia. It’s still a little flaky, but a huge step up from modems, none the less.
The brake upgrade I ordered for the car is on back order. grrr
Yahoo! IM is probably the most entertaining chat system I’ve been on so far. And those of you who entertain me the most know who you are! 😉
Work has involved many early mornings and not enough sleep. So I’m grumpy and sleepy today.
I have no idea what I’m doing for the 4th, but I think I’m going to head back to Winchester.
And at this point, I think I’ve just about lost all motivation to type. So I’m going to sit here like a zombie for a while and then maybe do something constructive like check my email. See ya….
